The reason is a failing computer system that was introduced in 2021. The water board still has to collect a total of 653 million euros. “Because the system did not work properly, we are behind in sending assessments for 2022. We still have to send 30 percent from that year. On top of that there will be the assessments for 2023 and 2024,” says a spokesperson.
