Sweden had its second-best World Youth Olympic Games of all time, it is clear after the Games in South Korea’s Gangwon ended on Thursday.
Four golds and a total of eleven medals is an achievement that was only trumped in Lausanne 2020, when there were 17 blue-yellow podium places.
“Fun with all the medals, but even more important that the young people gained experience competing in an Olympic event against international opposition,” says the Swedish squad leader Henrik Forsberg in a press release.

The gold medals were taken by the girls’ ice hockey team, Elsa Tänglander (length, sprint), Uma Kruse One (ski cross) as well Alexandra Nilsson and William Young Shing (ski cross, team).
