“I am not allowed to say how much money is involved,” says a spokesperson for the KNVB. “But it is a substantial amount.” The KNVB has been in discussions with DHSC about the payment problems since October. “Then as an association you set a deadline at a certain time. And if that deadline is not met, the first team is not allowed to play football the following weekend,” said the spokesperson.
