What is the best and fastest graphics card under 400 euros?

Do you want to buy a new graphics card but don’t want to spend more than 400 euros? MeinMMO introduces you to GPUs that can be worthwhile for around 400 euros.

If you want to upgrade your gaming system, you often buy a new graphics card. But the prices for graphics cards have been rising sharply in recent months and not everyone wants to invest 1,000 euros for a new GPU.

MeinMMO introduces you to the best models that you can buy for less than 400 euros. Models from both AMD and Nvidia are included. The Intel Arc A770 would also be an option in principle, but we left it out for now due to problematic drivers.

AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

The Radeon RX 6750 XT is currently the best graphics card you can get for around 400 euros. It is well equipped with 12 GB of video memory and delivers more than enough performance for Full HD and WQHD. Thanks to 12 GB of video memory, the GPU is also well equipped for new games.

However, you should note that the RX 6750 XT is no longer brand new and will disappear from the market in the long term. AMD has already released successors with the RX 7700 (XT) and the RX 7800 (XT).

Tip: With luck and patience, you can also get an RX 6800 for around 400 euros. There is a little more performance here and a future-proof 16 GB of video memory.

Per

  • Very good performance for 1440p, sometimes also 4K
  • 12 GB VRAM is sufficient for modern games
  • Cons

  • Architecture is no longer completely new
  • disappears from the market in the long term because of successors
  • AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT

With the RX 7600 XT, AMD has introduced a new entry-level GPU for around 350 euros. Compared to the older RX 7600, it offers slightly more performance, but with its 16 GB of video memory it is significantly more future-proof than many other graphics cards in the price range between 300 and 400 euros.

The performance is more than sufficient for Full HD, but it doesn’t come close to the performance of the RX 6750 XT. Thanks to the large video memory, even WQHD resolution (1440p) is possible with some compromises.

Thanks to its large video memory, the RX 7600 XT can easily outpace older AMD cards and sometimes also the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti. The only annoying thing is the slight increase in performance from the RX 7600 to the XT version. You can read a test of the RX 7600 XT from our colleagues at GameStar Tech.

    Per

  • High performance for 1080p, 1440p possible with some compromises
  • DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1
  • future-proof thanks to 16 GB VRAM
  • Cons

  • only slightly faster than RX 7600
  • high power consumption
  • Nvidia RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti 8GB

The best alternative to the two AMD graphics cards are the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti. You can get the RTX 4060 for just 320 euros, making it around 100 euros cheaper than the RTX 4060 Ti. You can now get the Ti version for 420 euros, with some very good offers available for as little as 400 euros.

With the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti you get more than enough performance for modern games and have access to DLSS 3.0. However, the 8 GB of video memory is very limited.

The 16 GB model of the RTX 4060 Ti would generally be more future-proof, but at around 500 euros it costs significantly more than the 4060 Ti 8 GB or the RX 7600 XT. If you don’t have a problem spending 100 euros more, you can go straight to the 16 GB model.

    Per

  • Low power consumption
  • DLSS 3.0
  • Top performance for 1080p (4060)
  • Cons

  • 8GB of VRAM is scarce and not future-proof
  • 16 GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti very expensive
