It is indicated that the company co-founded by David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumière generated a net profit of 5.8 million euros, a record profit for the third consecutive year. This great performance, we owe it above all to Detroit Become Human, which sold 6.5 million copies worldwide, combining both PS4 and PC sales. It is by far the studio’s biggest success, knowing that the PC version has sold 1 million copies for the year 2021 alone. A success that has given wings to the company, which has become its own editor since 2019, and which has the support of the Chinese from NetEase. The press release also specifies that Quantic Dream is calmly continuing the development of its 3 games, which corroborates recent rumors which explained that the studio was going to release 2 other games before Star Wars Eclipse. There would be a mobile game, no doubt produced with the impetus of NetEase, but also a AAA which would take over the Dark Sorcerer demo, Quantic Dream’s usual technique for a long time.
With so many projects, Quantic Dream continues to grow, with an increase in its workforce of more than 50% in 2021, knowing that recruitment is done both on the side of the Paris office and that based in Montreal recently.
