It was after a conversation that the teacher at Björknäsgymnasiet agreed with the municipality to build a bus shelter that would symbolize Boden.
– I know that Luleå municipality had a similar idea, so me and a colleague sat and brainstormed ideas. But what could be more Boden-inspired than the fortress? says Joel Svensson, construction and civil engineering teacher.
Happy students – who give back to the city
The first-year students have soon completed the “fortress”.
For the creators, it feels good to be able to create something new, while at the same time being able to give something back to the village.
– It’s very funny that what we build is visible and can perhaps attract new students to the program, that they actually get to see that we do good and fun things, says student Ludwig Molin.
The basic idea was that the students would build a cure, but there could be more.
