The new season in Diablo 4 comes with the leveling of new seasonal characters. A farm spot is particularly suitable for this. On MeinMMO you can find out what this is all about.
The farm spot is about the Arcane Quakes, which came into Diablo 4 with Season 3. These areas are ideal for quick leveling and also offer a lot of loot. An expert described in a video why these spots are so good for farming.
Who is the expert? This is Rob2628, who is known for his expertise in Diablo 4 and regularly provides players with videos and streams. With his OP build, he completed Zir’s Slaughterhouse as a Druid in a squad of 4 in under 3 minutes.
In his YouTube video from January 23rd, he describes the best farming spot, which is said to offer “infinite loot and experience” and is comparable to the blood harvest from Season 2.
The best farming spot in Season 3: Arcane Quakes
What kind of spot is this? The Arcane Quakes came into play in Season 3. You can recognize them by the green symbols on the map. As soon as you enter the areas where the earthquakes occur, you will see additional symbols on the map that are marked with a leaf: obelisks and braziers. You run these alternately.
How does farming work?
To trigger the event at the fire bowls, you need Elemental Cores and Shattered Stones. You can get the stones as drops from all sorts of enemies and in some chests. You get elemental cores in the obelisks.
As you approach the obelisks, mobs and area damage await you. To obtain the Elemental Core, you must interact with the Obelisk. Since patch 1.3.0a you will no longer be knocked back there, so you can get to the cores that are on the ground more easily.
Here you can see the Arcane Quake farm spot in Rob2628’s YouTube video:
As soon as you have collected enough materials, activate the fire bowl. Several mobs then spawn and finally the “Herald of Malphas”. The elite opponent drops a legendary item at level 26 – and a second one with a 15% chance.
Farming is particularly worthwhile with several players because you can share the materials. In principle, you can do the whole thing until you run out of materials. By the way, you will be notified as soon as a “Herald of Malphas” has been summoned in the area, even if this is the case at another brazier. This then flashes on the map.
It’s best to go straight with a group or look for a spot where several people are already out and about. With more players there is additional XP. Don’t forget to throw in an elixir.
If there is nothing going on, you can also jump through the phases. To do this, go back to the city or briefly to another area and return. You should then be in another instance of the area.
Are there any other events? In the areas with arcane quakes, small, random events also occur. You can recognize these by the squares when you are near them. One is called “Connection of Lightning.”
As soon as you interact with the pillar, several mobs will spawn. Despite many enemies and area damage, you have to stay in the red circle. Finally, the red circle disappears and three elite opponents spawn.
In the screenshots you can see the event in different places:
Several mobs await you at the pillars
At the end, three elite opponents spawn
You can get even more XP if you combine the Arcane Quakes with the tasks for the Tree of Whispers and pick up a chest from the tree. In addition, you get materials that you need for other activities in Diablo 4. To do this, however, you have to be in the area where the seasonal whisper tasks are and interrupt farming in between to submit them.
