Filmstaden can once again sell cinema tickets on the site and in the app again after last weekend’s hacker attack.
“We carry out tests and ensure that the system is stable and ask for forgiveness if problems arise in the first hours,” the cinema chain writes on its website.
All sales at Filmstaden were canceled on January 20 as a result of the cyber attack against the IT supplier Tietoevry.
In the last week, it has only been possible to shop at Filmstaden via Swish on site in the cinemas. But now all payment methods – such as cards and gift cards – must work.
“All tickets sold for performances on Saturday will be unnumbered, starting with Sunday’s performances, you can choose your favorite seat again,” writes Filmstaden.
The full extent of the ransomware attack is not known. But a wide range of companies, regions, municipalities and authorities are affected to varying degrees.
