In Destiny 2, players can choose between three enticing reward categories for six weeks with the introduction of Riven’s Wishes. This is the first measure to fill the extended Season 23 with content and keep players happy.
What has Bungie announced? Riven’s Wishes is a weekly quest that asks you to take on various challenges in the Dreaming City.
One of the most notable aspects is the freedom and type of reward you receive from Riven’s Wishes. Not only can you decide for yourself what you want, the offer is also exceptionally good.
6 weeks of very special rewards
These are the rewards: With Riven’s Wishes, you have the freedom to choose your rewards based on your own needs and desires. And the rewards are certainly tempting, as Bungie reveals in the weekly This Week at Destiny blog.
You can spend your desired token for these 3 categories:
Choose a “Last Wish” raid weapon (blueprint weapon) with a red border.
Choose a Lightfall Exotic armor piece.
In addition to Ascendant Fragments and Exotic Ciphers, you can also get hold of the coveted Weapon Mementos from the last two events.
How is the new quest offer being received? Quite good. The Mementos are particularly interesting for players who already have all the blueprints for the weapons from the “Last Wish” raid as well as all the Lightfall Exotics. The latter was extremely difficult to obtain during the events, so this is seen as a welcome opportunity. Nevertheless, some players were a little disappointed.
I didn’t have too high expectations for these wishes. But as someone who has all the armor exotics and blueprint weapons from Last Wish, I’m somehow not interested at all. Sure, getting more resources is fine, and that all-black shader is cool. But is that all? I know I’m in the minority, but damn, I wish (hehehe) there was something else.

Other players, like Neat_On_The_Rocks, are very happy about the possibility of getting blueprints for coveted raid weapons without having to play the raid.
I don’t raid enough to ever bother with that [Baupläne] to farm for raid weapons. I’m so damn excited about this idea.

The offer of this quest series seems to be a great option, especially for casual players, while veterans and frequent players are a bit disappointed.
These questions are still unresolved: There was also discussion on the Destiny Reddit as to whether the quest would be available once per account or once per character. Bungie has not yet provided any further information.
However, at this time we are assuming that these quests and their rewards are limited to your account and will only allow you to earn the full blueprint for a weapon – if you have not yet earned any blueprint progress on the weapons. Plus an Exotic or a Memento.
If the quest were not account-based but character-based, then you would have the opportunity to receive a red-bordered “Last Wish” raid weapon a total of 18 times. This would equate to a total of three craftable weapons and a few other rewards.
The question is also still open as to whether NewLight players who use Free2Play in the game and therefore may not have the corresponding expansions can obtain the weapon blueprints and Lightfall exotics in this way.
When will Riven’s Wishes be available? New quests will be offered for six weeks starting January 30th. However, you have until “The Final Form” is released to complete it and earn the rewards. You can get the quest itself and the wish tokens for it from Mara Sov in the HELM (headquarters for operational logistics and maneuvers).
In addition to this new quest series, the “Triumphal Moments 2024” will also start on January 30th with a total of 30 challenges. With this you can still earn the MMXXIII title as well as some event rewards, such as the new “Laurel Wrap” and the Sparrow “Fire-Gilded Quadriga”.
What do you think of the new quest line in Season 23? And which wish will you fulfill? Feel free to write it to us in the comments. In this article we will also tell you what else Bungie has planned after the six weeks: Destiny 2: Season of Wish will last almost 7 months: This is planned to keep the shooter alive
