Before the match, Björklöven’s supporters vented their dissatisfaction with the team and management. Then Björklöven went out and won after five straight losses at home.
Nick Schilkey gave Björklöven the lead in the second period when he managed a free position in the best way. SSK then did not get a hole in Melker Thelin in the Löven goal, who had to keep his first clean sheet in the club and Björklöven thus took a long-awaited victory at home.
– It’s really nice, we’ve been working for this for as long as possible, said a satisfied Melker Thelin to TV4 after the match.
Thelin’s effort was praised by Sanny Lindström in TV4:
– He makes a great effort, is calm and confident in the game. Nice for Thelin to show when he gets the chance that he is a good goalkeeper who should get more chances in the future, said the expert.
