It won’t be a dream final at home for Germany.
Denmark was too heavy and won the semi-final 29-26. Admittedly, the Germans led 14-12 at the break, but in the second half the Danes showed who was the stronger team.
Emil Jakobsen, Mikkel Hansen and Simon Bogetoft Pytlick led the way with five goals each for the red and whites, while Emil Nielsen played well in goal (42.11 save percentage).
Olympic ticket in the pot
It will thus be a bronze medal match for Germany where they face Sweden, who earlier on Friday fell in their dramatic semi-final against France.
In the pot is not only a bronze medal, but also an Olympic ticket.
The bronze match will be played at 15:00 on Sunday. The final between France and Denmark will be played later on Sunday, at 17.45.
