Armand Duplantis is by far the world’s best pole vaulter.
And by his side he has his girlfriend and partner Desiré Inglander.
Now “Mondo” reveals his thoughts on the big love decision with her.
During the Sports Gala was appointed Armand Duplantis to “Male Athlete of the Year” but was snubbed at the Jerring Prize again, this time by Ebba Andersson. After a fantastic year in 2023, with WC gold and double world records, he had to receive the cheers of the people up on stage.

“Mondo” had his girlfriend with him Desire Inglander at the gala, they have been a couple since summer 2020 and now live together in Stockholm. The young love couple has one of Swedish sports’ most well-known relationships and they often share their everyday life on social media.

Recently, it has been possible to see pictures from their trip to Duplanti’s homeland, the USA. There they have been on “home ground” in Louisiana and also attended Formula 1 in Los Angeles.
Free to Desire
The 24-year-old world star also gets to answer what the future looks like for the couple and whether they will stay in Sweden or move to the United States.
– I think we will always have a relationship with the United States in some way. I don’t know if it will be in Louisiana or some other state. And we will always have some place here in Sweden too, so I think there will be some form of shared time, he says to Hänt.
– But we’ll see. We have no idea, we are still young.

Then Armand is asked a more private question about their relationship and whether he is considering proposing to Desiré after over three years together.
– Engagement? It’s not a good idea for me to answer in front of a camera. But we’ll see, he replies cryptically in the interview.
