A dangerous situation was seen in the evening slalom in Schladming, when Switzerland’s Fadri Janut had to land on the steward who was left on the track.

Swiss Fadri Janutin was to count on the railway official. The track official was still fixing the slope when Janutin fell down next to him.
– I got scared. It was really crazy. I got to it and suddenly there was a person next to the flag. It was a shame, because I had good split times, Janutin told SVT.
SVT’s alpine skiing expert Pernilla Wiberg suspected the organizers of the situation.
Sports expert Kalle Palander paid attention to Janutin’s activities after the near-miss situation.
– Why does Janutin continue? He could have taken a re-bill, says Palander.
Janutin had been 11th in the previous interval. However, he finished in 47th place and did not make it to the second round.
– Janutin could have stopped and taken a recalculation, because the track staff was ahead, Palander stated.
Palanader also saw in the situation the ingredients for a very bad collision.

According to Palanderi, Janutini’s mistake before the near-miss situation was not due to seeing the track official.
– Janutin came straight over the hill and was about to come over the guy, Palander analyzed.
The 24-year-old Swiss’ best personal World Cup ranking is from Val d’Isere in December 2022, when he was 17th in the giant slalom. In the mixed team competition, he has been able to celebrate the World Cup victory in the spring of 2022 in Courchevel.
