Bombing raid
The convoy was bombed from the air while stopping under some shrubs. The observation made by the soldiers on the ground establishes a toll of five terrorists killed, including Abdel Malick. Motorcycles and weapons were also destroyed.
Recruit training
Specializing in attacks on military convoys and kidnappings, Harouna Oulel a.k.a Abdel Mallick had taken part in several attacks against defense and security forces on Burkinabe territory since 2019 according to security sources. He also trained recruits in the handling of weapons according to sources cited by the official information agency. A price was put on his head for the sum of 150 million CFA francs.
