Will Häcken be up to Sweden’s hardest trick in ten years? The expert incenses the Finnish gambler: “A rating of at least half of nine” | Sport

Will Hacken be up to Swedens hardest trick in ten

Helmari player Katariina Kosola representing BK Häcken has a chance for a sensational trick today, Wednesday. With the victory over the French Paris FC, the Swedish club secures its place in the next games of the Women’s Champions League.

Upfront, the Gothenburgers were not expected to have much success, as Chelsea, who dominated the English fields in recent years, Real Madrid, which was full of stars, and Paris FC, which unexpectedly knocked Arsenal and Wolfsburg out of the competition, were drawn into the same group.

However, two rounds before the end of the group stage, the team is second in its group after defeating both Real Madrid and Paris FC once. Even against Chelsea, it stretched to a goalless draw away from home, but in the home match, the London team took a longer lead.

Sports expert Essi Sainio think the swedish team’s trick is hard.

– In my opinion, Häcken’s style of play is sometimes too straightforward, it lacks a certain breadth of play and sometimes rhythm. In the Champions League, the team has defended really deep at times, and it hasn’t always been very collective. Compared to that, the performance is excellent. The opponents have had a lot of chances against Häcken and the team has been in quite a bit of trouble at times, but they have persistently prevented goals, commented Sainio.

On the other hand, according to Sainio, the right roles have been found for the players. As interesting names, he raises the attacker who divides opinions Rosa Kafaji, Aisha Masakaonly 16 years old by Felicia Schröder and of course Kosola.

The season played at a different time brings its own challenges for Häcken. The other teams play their league games for a couple of days, but Häcken’s main league season ended already at the beginning of November. Damallsvenskan doesn’t start until mid-April, and the cup a good month earlier.

– Yes, it really affects a lot. When the series ends, there won’t be competitive games every week and you should be able to maintain the momentum of the game. In the Nordic countries, the season is quite long, as first there is a long preparation and then we play from March until almost the end of the year. Many players start to lose their cool, maintaining the spirit of the game and mental endurance requires a certain kind of application, Sainio reflects.

Hardest trick in ten years?

Naturally, Häcken’s performance has also been praised in Sweden. Sporbladet Anna Ryden raised the Swedish club’s possible continuation position “because of the increased competition, the hardest trick that has happened in Swedish women’s club football in ten years”.

Sainio is on the same lines.

– The Swedish league team would, in a way, restore itself to where it once was. There used to be Uumeåå and Djurgården with really tough gangs. The Swedish league has not been the most attractive in the world for the last few years, and it has not been rated very high when other countries have passed by.

The season has been sensational for Kosola. Häcken bought the Finnish player from Örebro last summer and signed him to the ranks of the Gothenburg club with a rare three-year contract in women’s football.

In September, Kosola opened the Helmariten Nations League with a bang, when he hit the Slovakian net twice in front of the home crowd in Turku as Finland romped to a 4–0 victory.

The Finn has also been given responsibility in the club team. Kosola has also toiled for the full 90 minutes in all Champions League group stage matches. Against the star-studded Real Madrid, he even scored a 2-1 winning goal – and even more so in a wonderful way.

Helmaripeluri gets incense from Sainio.

– Kosola has kept up really well in the European games, especially in the attacking direction. He has played surprisingly evenly considering that he joined the team in the middle of the season and adapted to the new game system and new tasks. I’d say I’d give it at least a nine and a half, if not a ten.

Sainio raises the defense for the development targets.

– He has played as a real winger, quite deep in the defense, depending on the game system. Personally, I would see that his strengths are higher up the field. Maybe the defense itself still has a bit to do, but you have to remember that he is still a young player.

Also Brann close to the historical gimmick

Kosola is not the only Finn whose club team is on the verge of a sensational performance. Joanna Tynnilän represented by Brann advanced to the group stage of the Champions League as the first Norwegian team and is immediately going from the group stage to the playoffs. The Norwegian group is second in its group with seven points, right after the French giant Lyon.

Brann’s group is still not quite as tough as Häcken’s, because on the way it has defeated both Slavia Praha and St. Pölten.

However, the French giant Lyon, who leads the group, belongs to the best in Europe, and has celebrated the victory of the Champions League a record eight times.

Against Lyon, Brann drew 2–2 at home.

– Brann has played at a really high level. They have interesting players and the gameplay seems like they have found their own role for each player. I was also relatively surprised by how much Brann was able to hold the ball against Lyon. In my opinion, it has been a key factor in the games, not only submitting to defend, but daring to move the ball, Sainio reflects.

Tynnilä’s excerpts have also impressed the expert.

– Tynnilä played really well against Lyon and it can be seen that he has gained much needed toughness. The same old peaceful opening of the game is still there and has even moved forward a few notches. I am really happy for the Finns that they have found clubs where they can play a good, suitable role.

In addition to Tynnilä and Kosola, they also play in the group stage Ria Öling’s Rosengård and Tinja-Riikka Korpelan AS Roma. Rosengård is at the bottom of Group A and is still looking for its opening points on Thursday against Benfica. AS Roma is also at the bottom of the group, but everything is still open in the fast-paced C group. Roma is only three points away from the group leader Ajax. On Wednesday, it faces Bayern Munich at home.
