It becomes Tina Mehrafzoon, who takes over the task of warming up the viewers for this year’s Melodifestival.
“I want it to feel as fun and edgy for everyone at home on the sofas as for the artists backstage,” she says in a press release.
The presenter and music journalist Tina Mehrafzoon leads the warm-up for the Melodifestivalen – and thus takes over from Linda Bengtzing, who held the pre-party last year.
“Pre party!” starts half an hour before the competition and is broadcast on SVT Play, Tiktok and Youtube. There, Mehrafzoon meets the artists and analyzes Melodifestivalen banter. She also frames the competition with an afterword that takes over when the competition has ended.
“Should feel equally fun and exciting for everyone”
“I want it to feel as fun and edgy for everyone at home on the sofas as for the artists backstage. With ‘Förfest!’ we set the tone and we don’t sweep away the confetti until we’ve squeezed out all the best in our ‘After Party!'”, she says in a press release.
Mehrafzoon has worked with music journalism on Sweden’s Radio P3 since 2013 and, among other things, was the program manager for “P3 Musikguiden”.
