Since December 25, 38 families have been camping in a huge tent located in the Solférino metro station, in the beautiful 7th arrondissement of Paris, installed at the initiative of the Droit au logement (DAL) association. Homeless and prioritized by the right to enforceable housing (Dalo), they ask the government to assume its responsibilities by granting them decent housing. In January 2023, the Abbé-Pierre foundation estimated the number of people on the streets in France at 330,000, far from the “zero homeless” objective displayed by Emmanuel Macron during his first campaign.
