Despite their different designs, modern cases for gaming PCs often have a lot in common. The hardware inside can be inspected at any time through glass side walls. However, an engineer with a sense of style and elegance will put these prefabricated off-the-shelf cases to shame with his desk PC.

Engineer creates unique water-cooled desktop PC
What kind of calculator is this? Engineer Eric’s desk PC is a full-fledged gaming PC. The table in which the hardware is installed was custom-made for this project. All components are coordinated with one another and have been neatly inserted into the table.
His goal was to create a unique system with style and enough power for gaming and computing-intensive applications. When selecting the right hardware, he focused primarily on aesthetics and making installation in the table as simple as possible.
What hardware is in the table? Based on its criteria and availability at the time of the project, the following components were chosen:
For water cooling, he used a system from EK Water Blocks. Eric carefully crafted the pipe connections for the water cooling system by hand. While several fans on the left side of the table provide fresh air in the table PC, the fans on the right side lead the warm air from the water cooling out of the construction via a radiator.
Clever approach to material processing
How did he approach the project? From previous projects, the engineer was used to first creating a CAD model. This allowed him to plan every little detail in advance and to keep unpleasant surprises during further work to a minimum.
Before actually making the table, Eric decided to create a test environment that he installed on a wooden panel. In this way, he was able to finally check his previous calculations for, for example, cable lengths and drill hole positions. After his design passed all tests, the engineer began final production.
What materials are in the table? In addition to the hardware and water cooling, wood was used for the table construction and an acrylic plate was used to mount the PC components.
With the help of friends and woodworking and CNC machines, he was able to shape the material into the desired shape. In his opinion, the final assembly was child’s play. He was referring to the previous test setup, which he was now able to transfer 1:1.
