The Franco-Indian trio proposed a one-hour creation “ A Journey In Time And Space » which was played in France at the end of 2023.
FKBass « A journey in Time and Space » is a concert piece for FKbass, Rudra Veena, Pakhawaj, and narration.
In a first step, Floy Krouchi wrote and designed a new solo for his hybrid bass, inspired by his research in India, broadcast in France between January and April 2023, and to come, from the end of November 2023.
In October and November 2023, she invited Jyoti Hegde, the only female player of Rudra Veena, and Nikhil Ghodpadkar (Pakhawaj percussion) thus building the final form of FKbassOPUS II: “ A journey in Time and Space » a journey through sound, microtonality, time and space, between contemporary and traditional practice.
It is a large-scale project which integrates the augmented bass created by Floy Krouchi with one of the rarest and most specific instruments in Indian music, the Rudra Veena and which is the result of residencies in India and France with these great musicians.
This piece was performed this winter at Césaré-CNCM Reims and at Royaumont Abbey.
For RFI, Floy Krouchi, Jyoti Hegde And Nikhil Ghorpadkar agreed to extract 3 pieces of approximately 5-6 minutes for the #LiveSession.
