Roope Hintz broke the 20 goal mark this season. Mikko Rantanen also scored two goals.

Roope Hintz broke the 20-goal mark for this season in the NHL, when the Dallas Stars convincingly defeated the New Jersey Devils 6-2.

Hintz, who finished with two goals, first skilped in a spectacular way to give Dallas a 2–0 lead in the second period with an underpowered effort. He hit another hit at the end of the inning by Wyatt Johnston input.

The first goal in particular delighted the puck audience. The commentator admired the goal and praised Hintz’s deception. The club Dallas Stars went even further.

On his X account, Dallas suggested that US sports channel ESPN include Hintz’s goal in its daily SportsCenter top 10 performance list.

– THANK YOU, the club wrote at the end of its update with an exclamation mark.

There was no doubt about the winner in the match, as Dallas was already leading 6–0 before the Devils’ tying goals in the third period. Dallas head coach Pete DeBoer was satisfied with the performance of Hintz and the rest of the team after the match.

– Roope was great. The whole team was at the core today. We were good at the little things, DeBoer stated and also praised the goalkeeper Scott Wedgewood.

Dallas lost a lot from their previous match, where they lost to the Philadelphia Flyers with 1-5 goals. According to Hintz, Dallas is usually able to improve its game quickly if it has played poorly.

– It’s more about the mental side, but of course you have to be able to perform on the ice as well. However, it starts with a good mental preparation to be ready to play. And we were today, Hintz rejoiced.

Rantanen hit twice

Colorado Avalanche Mikko Rantanen also scored two goals and led his team to a 7–4 away win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
