After the last day’s attacks on Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, it is clear that the war between Israel and Hamas has spilled over to the countries in the immediate area, according to SVT’s Middle East correspondent Samir Abu Eid.
– As long as the war in Gaza continues, we will probably see an escalation of the violence and battles around the Middle East, he says.
Several Iranian military personnel from the country’s Revolutionary Guard were killed in what Iran claims was an Israeli attack on Damascus on Saturday. Israel has not yet commented on the incident.
