Pokemon Go, which has affected the whole world, is finally in Turkey after a long wait. Turkish language option came out with. The game, in which we were walking the streets for a while and chasing new Pokemon from every corner, actually lays a brand new adventure under our feet with the end of the pandemic process. I don’t use this as an idiom of course, because in the game we still have to go around to catch new Pokemon and challenge other players. Of course, during this time, great developments and innovations were made in the Pokemon Go game. We wanted to take a look at both the main dynamics of the game and its innovations while it is ready in Turkish.

First of all, the full localization of the game is an important reason to sail this adventure again. As you know, Pokemon Go is a game based on augmented reality and catching new Pokemon just like in the main games and animation productions. Although there are many games of this type, there are actually three elements that make this game so successful. The first is that Pokemon is known and loved in many parts of the world from 7 to 77. The other reason is that on the technical side, Niantic is actually a company that works on map technologies and has knowledge. Niantic, which was affiliated with Google for a time and switched to independence in the past years, has managed to transfer its knowledge and experience to Pokemon Go.

The third factor is that it fits all this operation into our mobile phones. I also love the main Pokemon games, but I’m not someone who usually takes handheld consoles with me unless I’m on a long trip or on vacation. The fact that this dynamic is reduced to the mobile phone and is actually somehow connected with the main games brings a great advantage for Pokemon Go. When I go for a walk, take the bus or ferry, it is really convenient to take out my cell phone and chase Pokemon.

• Niantic Child Account

Pokemon Go is built on augmented reality and allows us to turn this feature off. For example, when I go out for a meeting or for my private affairs, I love to catch Pokemon puking at bus stops, in a greenery I pass by, or on the side of the road, with real images. Sometimes it can be very enjoyable to go after Pokemon by turning off the AR feature, wondering what species have emerged around the place where I sleep at night. Entering this world with the AR mode is tremendous, but including a different option for such situations offers the player an effortless capture opportunity.

With the new generations added to the game, Pokemon Go has taken on a much richer structure. Moreover, it is possible to find dozens of different species from all these generations in your neighborhood. Of course, there are Pokemon that spawn at certain points according to the species, as well as those that you can catch only at certain times of the day. Sometimes it is possible to catch them with a finger movement while sitting in the living room of your home, and you also need to stretch your feet from time to time. Because I can say that the special feature of this game is socializing, contacting other players, and getting to know your neighborhood in a way.

Even when you look at the map structure of the game, you can actually see Pokemon silhouettes next to the important points in your neighborhood. Of course, it is built on a system that allows you to run to the park in the neighborhood, wondering what Pokemon there is, as there are players who know their prey well even from its silhouette and are familiar with this series. This element of curiosity in the game and the feeling of challenging other players from time to time has also managed to change the face of Pokemon Go in a positive way. Many of these points are also referred to as Poke Stops, and they actually constitute one of the most important ways to fill your bag.

On the other hand, one of my favorite aspects of the game is the dynamic of removing the Pokemon eggs you put in the special chamber from the incubation process just by walking. In addition, innovations such as fighting with Team Rocket members flying over your head, rescuing Pokemon or counting the minutes for a Raid that will start around you have greatly increased the dynamism of the game. In the job of fighting with other players, after a few tries, I learned that I had to eat a loaf of bread.

Gyms also function as PokeStops. You can rotate Photo Discs for items. As you do more events at a Gym, you earn badge points (BP) that upgrade that Gym’s badge. A higher level Gym badge generates more items per Photo Disc spin. Compared to regular PokeStops, it provides more revivals and potions. The items you will receive will change as you level up your account. When you reach level 30, you will have unlocked all the items.

On the other hand, it is very important that the game does not come to our country only on localization. In other words, apart from the Turkish language option, special events and even region-specific community tournaments will be held in our country, just like abroad. In fact, as I write these lines, one of the first community tournaments in Turkey is being signed. In the coming periods, such special events will both socialize and open the way for us to add new species to our Pokedex.

As a result, it’s hard to predict whether Pokemon Go will catch up with its initial popularity. But if you already like Pokemon or this kind of mobile games, I think it is a good opportunity to return to the game while the Turkish localization is here. As a player who took a break for about four years, I reconnected slightly to Pokemon Go, which I entered to try the Turkish version.

Especially if I’m going somewhere or whenever I have the opportunity, I definitely open a book and take a look at what’s going on around. Other features added to the game during my hiatus amused me greatly. Therefore, I can say that if you have played with great pleasure in the past or if you like this genre, it would be useful to try Pokemon Go again.

Some advice for novice raiders:

• Try to raid at least 10 minutes in advance to coordinate
• Use your best Pokemon and try to deal as much damage as possible.
• Be nice to your raider friends. You will likely see them again.

In addition, the past two years have been quite difficult due to our lockdown at home due to Covid 19.
