Nevertheless, Anna-Carin Zidek knocks herself when she names Sweden’s best biathlete ever.

In the early 2000s hit Anna-Carin Zidek, formerly Olofsson, went through properly and became “ACO” with the entire Swedish people. She began her career as a cross-country skier, but chose at the age of 29 to take the step over to biathlon instead.
Zidek’s career
After a mediocre career as a cross-country skier, Zidek really found his footing in the new sport and became one of Sweden’s best. For many years she belonged to the top tier of the World Cup, winning twelve individual World Cup victories and taking 25 podiums during her successful career.

The Swede also excelled at the World Championships with a WC gold, three WC silver and two WC bronze. The biggest highlight of her career came during the 2006 Winter Olympics when Anna-Carin Zidek was in perfect shape in Turin.
Best ever
First Olympic silver in the sprint and then a very impressive Olympic gold in the mass start. ACO can look back on a fantastic career, but if she chooses who is Sweden’s best biathlete of all time, she will nominate herself for another giant.

Because in Zidek’s eyes, biathlon is legendary Magdalena Forsberg our country’s best biathlete ever.
– I probably have to say Magdalena Forsberg anyway. After all, she won the overall World Cup so many times and took so many World Cup victories. I probably still have to tell her, she admits to Sportbibeln.

“Magda” is a true icon in Swedish winter sports with a track record consisting primarily of six WC golds, two Olympic bronzes and she won the overall World Cup six years in a row. An incredible career and Forsberg was also incredibly popular, which the four Jerring awards clearly show.
