Emma Ribom’s honest words about Kristine Stavå’s Skistad – opens up about the tears and the huge fight: “I didn’t have…”

New World Cup weekend awaits in German Oberhof.
But the conditions have become the worst imaginable.
– All the clothes and almost all the equipment are gone, Emma Ribom reveals to SVT.

The Swedish national skiing team’s preparation for the World Cup in Oberhof has become extremely problematic. The snowy weather has made it a good one and after canceled and rescheduled flights, some skiers arrived at 03 last night.

Swedish chaos

While others were forced to sleep in Munich and arrived at the Oberhof only at lunchtime on Thursday, a full 28 hours after the appointed time. Add to that that the luggage has not yet arrived and created serious problems before the World Cup, which starts already on Friday.

Emma Ribom is one of the worst affected.
– All clothes and almost all equipment are gone. I really have nothing, she says to SVT.
– It has been a little messier than usual, but you have to make the best of the situation.

Ribom admits

The Swedish sprint star has therefore been on a shopping trip in Oberhof on Thursday to be able to wear some clothes. Luckily, she had the boots in her hand luggage and skis and poles have arrived with the Valabus.

Ribom has recharged her batteries after the miscalculation at the Tour de Ski, where she left the sprint in Davos in tears after being felled by her Norwegian rival Kristine Stavå’s Ski City. Sweden appealed the incident, but the jury chose to acquit, even though several experts believed that Skistad should have been washed.

The whole thing then led to a huge fight when the Norwegian mocked the Swedes on social media and both Frida Karlsson and Lynn Svahn reacted strongly. But Ribom now wants to put all this behind him and feels no anger towards Skistad anymore.
– Nah, but that’s up to her, I had no grudge against her at all, but thought the situation itself was boring because it was more than a whole tour and I missed out on a lot of bonus seconds, says the Swede to the TV channel and admits that she will not give back.
– No not at all. That’s what happens.
