In the early morning, Pakistan carried out several coordinated attacks against terrorist hideouts in the province of Baluchistan in Iran, TT writes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that “a number of terrorists were killed”.
According to Iranian state media, three women and four children have been killed in the attacks.
Response to Iran’s attack
The attacks come just two days after Iran carried out an attack on Pakistani soil against a Sunni Muslim extremist group that goes by the name Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice). The group has previously claimed responsibility for attacks in Iran.
Two children are said to have been killed in the attack, which also took place in the border province of Baluchistan.
Pakistan has condemned the attack as an unprovoked and flagrant violation of international law. The country has also recalled its ambassador from Tehran.
