So far, Season 3 of 7 vs. Wild hasn’t gone as fans hoped. Now, of all things, a “behind the scenes” episode manages to convey the feeling of what fans were missing from the series.
What kind of episode is it? In addition to the normal episodes of the survival show, 7 vs. Wild also includes episodes of the “making-of” format “Behind the Scenes”. The aim here is to show viewers how the series is created and how life in the production works on site.

More action in the background episode than usual in 7 vs. Wild
What did the participants experience as a result? After the elimination of Trymacs and Rumathra, which you can find out more about here, the episode also provides insights into the lives of the eliminated candidates for the first time. Many fans had wanted this since season 2.
They’re obviously having a good time in Canada. Jan Schlappen took Fritz Meinecke and SurvivalMattin with him to jump bridges. The freerunner was really having fun with his hobby and seemed like a different person compared to his time at 7 vs. Wild. You can find out the reason for his cancellation here.
What did the sons of nature do? Also the sons of nature Andy Schulze and Gerrit Rösel seem to be having a good time in Canada. They went fishing with Jan Schlappen and pulled some really big fish out of the sea. Jan Schlappen probably also caught the fish that was later lost with Rumathra’s luggage.
All eliminated participants also went golfing together. That was probably the highlight of the episode for many fans. All 7 candidates raced around the golf course in golf carts, Jan Schklappen pulled out and dived for golf balls – and they also played a bit of golf.

Why do fans love the video? The video is filled with energy and fun, hype and success, things that are lacking in the current season 3 of 7 vs. Wild. Due to the 14-day instead of 7-day survival, the participants do very little in the regular episodes. This time the “Behind the Scenes” format offers the desired variety.

With this episode, the production of 7 vs. Wild delivered exactly what the fans wanted and is well received. What the production of the survival show didn’t want, however, is for the participants to find an abandoned village of the natives of the islands on which 7 vs. Wild is filmed. However, one team ran so far that they suddenly found themselves in front of the village.
