A character in Honkai: Star Rail, the space RPG from Genshin developer HoYoverse, tries to convince you to draw on him in the gacha system. Silver Wolf will also write you several cell phone messages.
Just like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail has a so-called gacha system. You get new characters by “dragging” on certain banners. For a drawing you need so-called passes, which you can obtain either through in-game currency or by paying real money.
While the Silver Wolf banner was active in June 2023, players received messages via in-game mobile from the same character who tried to motivate the player to move.
At the Game Awards 2023, Honkai: Star Rail won best mobile game and showed a first glimpse of the upcoming world Penacony:

Who is Silver Wolf? Silver Wolf belongs to the Stellaron Hunters, the antagonist group in the game. She is a brilliant hacker and gamer who sees the entire universe as a giant game.
What’s in the message? Silver Wolf writes to the player that a new gacha banner has appeared in the game that she told about last time.
The hacker then asks whether they would also draw in order to compare at the end who would be luckier.
Then the player only has hesitant answers to choose from. But Silver Wolf doesn’t give up so quickly, she starts spamming the player with motivational messages.
She writes, for example: “First pull, then ask questions”, “Believe in yourself” or “Use the initiative”. Write a total of 21 messages to the player in a row.

At the end, the player is given three different answers to choose from with which to respond to Silver Wolf’s attempt at persuasion. These include a delighted cheer or a “Thank you, I’ve calmed down.” No matter how you answer, Silver Wolf sends a crying emoji at the end.
Apparently not all players in Honkai: Star Rail received this message. A Reddit user suspected that you only received it if you had already drawn Silver Wolf once.
It remains to be seen whether Silver Wolf will come up with new motivational strategies in the future once their banner has a rerun again.
It’s not uncommon for the game to break the fourth wall here. Because Honkai Star Rail is full of small humorous details and self-irony. The game also repeatedly incorporates references to well-known games or films.
