Therefore, Webhallen is closing several stores
But according to Webhallen’s marketing manager Mikael Karlsson is the closure of the stores part of the company’s business strategy, rather than linked to issues of profitability.
– Just like all retail players, we continuously review our store network to be as efficient and profitable as possible, he tells Market.

Existing Webhallen stores are being developed
In several of the cases, the leases for the stores have expired and now, according to Mikael Karlsson, they are looking at whether there are other locations that could be suitable for opening new stores.
At the same time, the twelve remaining Webhallen stores are being developed.
– The update of our concept has been completed in just over half of our stores and we will continue that work in the coming year. In part, we want to get the staff out of the store to meet the customer. We also want to get the range out in the store, says Karlsson Market.
