Commander-in-Chief Micael Bydén and the Minister of Civil Defense Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M) attracted a lot of attention with the calls to the Swedes to mentally prepare for the possibility of war in Sweden.

After the statements, the phones rang at Bris from worried children wondering how to prepare for war.

Now Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) addresses the reactions in P1 Morgon and says that there is no concern that there will be war in Sweden.

– I am not worried, on the other hand, we are preparing with increased preparedness in different ways. There is nothing to suggest that war is imminent now, but it is quite obvious that the risk of war in our part of the world has increased considerably, he says.

Kristersson thinks that the reactions after the calls have been “exaggerated” and he feels that you “cannot say several different nuances at the same time”.

– There is no ambition to scare or cause concern in any way, he says.
