Derriks is transgender. She completed her transformation two years ago. “I’ve never made a problem of that and have always been open about it. I now go through life as a woman.” She will be 70 in a few weeks, but Derriks’ party is largely aimed at young people. “It doesn’t surprise me that we won a seat.
