The Californian start-up Rabbit created a sensation among geeks with this little smart box. Capable of interacting with all of your mobile applications, it was designed to automate any task using AI. For example, it can open a navigation application when you show it the photo of a restaurant in order to take you there, launch a recipe application when it sees the photo of a dish, describe an object, etc. Note that it is also distinguished by its imposing wheel allowing you to navigate through the menus. A home check-up tool
Connected health specialist Withings announces a brand new device capable of carrying out a real check-up without having to leave your home. The BeamO is a multiscope that serves as a thermometer, electrocardiogram, oximeter and stethoscope. Relatively compact, you just need to squeeze it with your fingers for it to take all its measurements. Not content with giving comfort to hypochondriacs, it will also prove useful in the event of a teleconsultation since its results can be transmitted remotely to your doctor. BeamO should be available for sale by June 2024, priced at 249.95 euros.

“Mirror, my beautiful mirror, tell me if I am in good health”
Still in the field of health, the Canadian startup NuraLogix presents the Anura MagicMirror, a touch mirror capable of displaying information concerning nearly a hundred health parameters. When a user sits in front of the mirror, the device automatically detects them and scans their face for around thirty seconds in order to collect data which is then analyzed in the cloud.
Anura MagicMirror has the ability to provide data on blood pressure, body mass index, heart rate or pulse. It can also estimate age by assessing skin condition and analyze the risk of various diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, fatty liver diseases, etc. Still at the experimental stage, the device is not intended, at least initially, to be sold to individuals. Its use would be more aimed at clinics, sports halls or health-related businesses.

Voice-activated toilets
Kohler’s stand does not go unnoticed, with its new PureWash E930 connected toilet seat, which you can control by voice, thanks to its compatibility with the Google Home and Amazon Alexa applications. This heated seat also comes with a remote control that allows you to adjust all your personal preferences, from temperature to water pressure to air drying quality. The cleaning of the bowl is carried out using ultraviolet radiation. All these little pleasures nevertheless have a price: 2,149 dollars.

An AI-boosted grill
The British firm Seergrills, for its part, presents a revolutionary grill, boosted with AI for cooking that is both fast and precise. Whether in grill, oven, pizza or rotisserie mode, Perfecta guarantees cooking up to ten times faster than traditional cooking, according to the brand. For example, it promises to cook a good steak in just 90 seconds, without having to turn it over since cooking is ensured on both sides thanks to two burners that can reach 900 degrees Celsius. Only the price is a little hard to swallow: 3,500 dollars.

Quiet dishes
A French start-up, Quiet, traveled to Las Vegas to present a new type of tableware, much quieter than traditional porcelain. It is intended for collective catering, in order to lower the noise level in canteens where noise is often a source of stress and lack of concentration. Its bi-material composition preserves the noise of the cutlery but attenuates the sound by 85% when the dishes are stacked or placed on the table. Small and large plates are already available for pre-order, from 6 euros each, with first deliveries expected in August 2024.
