(Finance) – The last session of the week for the New York Stock Exchange began on the rise, on the day in which the quarterly reporting season began and in the aftermath of the decline due to the disappointing data on American inflation, which rose slightly higher of expectations in December.
Today, however, producer prices surprisingly fell, fueling investors’ hopes of rate cuts by the Fed in March.
Among US indices, the Dow Jones shows an increase of 0.25%; along the same lines, small leap forward for theS&P-500, which reaches 4,800 points. Fractional earnings for the Nasdaq 100 (+0.3%); on the same trend, with a moderate increase inS&P 100 (+0.37%).
