(Finance) – Alstoma global leader in intelligent and sustainable mobility, has been awarded a contract by the Municipality of Florence worth 50 million euros for the construction of superstructure, catenary, substations and lighting system of Line 4.2 of the city tram system, with an option for Line 4.1, worth 49 million euros. The tender was awarded to a temporary group of companies made up of the agent CMB together with Alstom, Hitachi Rail and ComNet, and involves interventions on 5.3 kilometers (11 stops) of Line 4.2 Campi Bisenzio-Piagge. Line 4.2 will connect Le Piagge station to San Donnino and from this point to the center of Campi Bisenzio.
The contract includes the option for the second lot, which will affect the 6.3 kilometers of Line 4.1 Piagge-Leopolda (13 stops) which will connect section 4.2 with the city centre.
