A father is detained on suspicion of murdering his nine-year-old son in Södertälje, several media reports. He is detained on probable cause, the stronger degree of suspicion.
The boy was found badly injured in an apartment in Södertälje on Monday. He was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter but his life could not be saved.
The man, who was in the apartment, was arrested and later detained.
The Södertälje district court has also decided that the man, who is in his 40s, must undergo a mental examination.
– I understand that there are many questions, but I have nothing to say at the moment, says the man’s lawyer Philip Hedberg to Länstidningen.
