How I use a trick in Pokémon GO to save time every day and quickly sort out bad Pokémon

I use a trick in Pokémon GO every day to quickly sort out good Pokémon from bad ones. You can find out what that is here.

What is it about? A long time ago I created two filters in Pokémon GO that help me quickly sort out Pokémon every day. Most people know how filters are used in Pokémon GO. Using filters, Pokémon can be filtered according to various criteria. You can also save these filters as favorites so you can use them quickly at any time.

How are filters saved? After using a filter in the search and going to the search field in your Pokémon Box, you can click Show More. Your most recently used search entries will then be displayed. If you tap one of the filters used here with your finger and hold it down for a short time, the filter will be saved under Favorites.

If you press and hold a filter saved under Favorites again for a short time, you can give it a name or remove it again.

2 filters to quickly find Pokémon for raids and battle leagues

What filters are involved? I saved a filter for Pokémon with good IV values for raids and one for Pokémon with corresponding IV values for the Battle League. When collecting Pokémon for the Super and Hyper Leagues, you should not rely on Pokémon with 4 stars. The filters look like this:

  • For raid Pokémon: 4*, 3*
  • For Super League and Hyper League Pokémon: 0-1 attack value & 3-4 defense value & 3-4 kp
  • How do the filters work? Since you want the maximum IV values for raid Pokémon, the filter for these Pokémon only looks for Pokémon that have 3* or 4*. This only shows Pokémon that have very high IV values and are therefore suitable for raids.

The filter for the Super and Hyper Leagues, on the other hand, looks for Pokémon whose Attack IV is between 0 and 5 points and whose Defense and HP IV are between 10 and 15 points. This will display Pokémon that are more suitable for use in the corresponding leagues.

Alternatively, how can I adjust the filters? For example, you can also adjust the filter for the Super and Hyper League so that only Pokémon with 0 points in their attack value are displayed. To do this, all you have to do at the beginning of the filter is replace the 0-1 attack value part with 0 attack value.

What advantage do the filters bring? By saving these two filters to favorites, I can access them quickly. When my Pokémon box is full, I sort the Pokémon by most recently captured first and use the two filters one after the other. I now mark all Pokémon that match the filters as favorite Pokémon and send the rest.

This allows me to quickly send Pokémon on the go without the risk of accidentally sending good Pokémon.

What about with you? Do you have your own filters that you use every day? Take a look at January’s events in Pokémon GO.
