It took several weeks for an agreement to be reached with a private company in Sierra Leone to store 14,000 cubic meters of gasoline in Freetown. The government must now find the tank trucks that will supply the country’s major cities. 120 trucks are already making the shuttles. But more is needed.

The National Oil Company assured this Tuesday that the first ship containing diesel had docked at the port of Conakry. With pipeline repairs underway, the diesel shortage should be resolved, the government assures. But for gasoline, the Guineans will still have to wait.
