Yesterday we reported on the new electric car Nammi 01 EV, which was just launched by Chinese Dongfeng with a price of just 110,000 kroner.
The only problem was that the low price applied in China, and that the price when the model arrives in Europe is rather expected to land at around SEK 280,000.
However, there is an electric car you can get your hands on for not much more than the Nammi 01 EV costs in China.

“Europe’s cheapest electric car”
The car is called Dacia Spring and was launched in Europe in 2021, when it was sold as the cheapest electric car on the continent.
In some countries, the car could be bought at launch for just SEK 170,000, and since then the list prices have been around SEK 200,000.
Now reporting Elbilen.se that there are brand new examples of the car at German car dealers for just 12,750 euros, corresponding to just over SEK 140,000.

SEK 112,000 in discount
The reason for the low price is that Germany, just like Sweden, has scrapped its climate bonus on electric cars.
In order to keep sales up, Dacia offers a discount of 10,000 euros, corresponding to roughly 112,000 kroner, on cars registered before the end of March.
Unfortunately, Dacia Spring has never come to Sweden, so if you want to take part in the offer, you have to privately import a car from Germany.

A car that is the cheapest on the market rarely offers much in terms of sophistication.
This is also the case with the Dacia Spring, which has an output of 44 horsepower and does 0 to 100 in 19.1 seconds.
The range is 23 miles thanks to a 26.8 kWh battery, which in the cheapest Essential version can only be charged with 3.7 kW.
If you go up to the more expensive Extrem model, fast charging through a CCS port is available.
