The Swedish relay success at the World Cup with a very nice second place – when star skater Hanna Öberg was poked

The Swedish biathlon ladies impress once again.
In Wednesday’s relay it was a blue-yellow second place.
After impressive efforts by Anna Magnusson, Linn Persson, Mona Brorsson and Elvira Öberg.

The Swedish women’s team takes a very nice podium in the last relay before the Biathlon World Cup. Anna Magnusson stood for a perfect first stretch for Sweden, and it was followed up by two solid stretches of Lynn Persson and Mona Brorsson.

Elvira Öbergwho drove the final leg for Sweden, had a perfect starting position but a slow lying shot required two extra shots which left her chasing leading France.

The article continues below.

As so many times in the past, everything was decided on the standing shoot. There showed France’s finisher Julia Simon class and put all five shots in just over 17 seconds.

Even though Öberg also put in her shots, there was nothing she could do against Simon on the sprint lap. France took first place and Sweden finished second for another nice podium at the World Cup.

Germany finished third in the World Cup relay and Norway failed most of all after a nightmarish first leg. Hanna Öberg did not compete in today’s relay but was forced to stand over.
