A Chatham resident faces charges after a person was threatened last month, Chatham-Kent police said.

Officers called to Fifth Street address in Chatham about 10 pm Dec. 13 learned a man had made comments threatening a person, police said.

A suspect was identified by surveillance footage but could not be located, police said. A warrant was obtained for their arrest.
The suspect was arrested on King Street East in Chatham Sunday, police said.
A Chatham man, 41, is charged with two counts of uttering threats, police said. He was released with conditions and a Feb. 12 short date.
Found bones from animal
Bones found under the porch of a Chatham home came from an animal, Chatham-Kent police say.
After officers were called to a Lorne Avenue home Sunday, the bones were photographed and an anthropologist determined they were animal remains, police said.
Anyone finding bones on their property shouldn’t touch them or disturb the area further, but call the police non-emergency line at 519-352-1234 so officers can secure the scene for investigation, police said.
