Today ProSieben is showing one of the great fantasy series of recent years: House of the Dragon tells the story of Game of Thrones. That means intrigues, bloody sword fights and fiery dragons await you again. But when will ProSieben continue after episodes 1 and 2?

House of the Dragon takes place around 200 years before the noble families Stark and Lannister become involved in the power struggle. During this time, the Targaryen family rules Westeros, the ancestors of Daenerys from Game of Thrones. There are still several majestic dragons in the Seven Kingdoms and dragon riders are part of the usual image of the capital, King’s Landing.

We follow the Targaryen dynasty as they reach the height of their power. However, with the open succession to the throne of King Viserys (Paddy Considine), a crisis is looming that will have devastating consequences. The other cast includes Milly Alcock, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Matt Smith, Emily Carey and Olivia Cooke.

    The ProSieben broadcast is only the free TV premiere. The series was shown for the first time in Germany in 2022. It is currently streaming in full as a subscription to Sky/WOW*.
