In connection with the incident, another police officer fired his service weapon at the 35-year-old suspect.
He was hit by the shot and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and serious weapons offences. The police have been injured by an accessory and not the weapon that was found.
