Bueckert joined the OPP in 2020 following a career as a developmental service worker and as a corrections officer. He has extensive experience with the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run serving first as the Brant OPP coordinator before becoming the event’s provincial coordinator.

In addition to serving as the detachment’s media relations officer, Bueckert will represent Brant OPP at community events.

“I invite members of the public who are interested in collaborating with the Brant County OPP on community events to reach out and connect,” Bueckert said in a statement announcing his new role. “Your ideas and participation are invaluable in fostering a safer and stronger community.

“Feel free to contact me to explore collaborative opportunities and contribute to the well-being of the Brant community.”

Insp. Andrea Quenneville welcomed Bueckert to his new role and thanks Vitalis for his work as the detachment’s media relations officer.
