Two bombs exploded near the grave of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated in Iran on January 3, killing 84 people and wounding more than 250 people. Pope Francis prayed for the victims of the bomb attacks in Iran at the mass held today for the feast of Epiphany.
Pope Francis also said in his message: “I express my closeness to the relatives of the many victims who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Kerman, to the many injured, and to all the Iranian people who are affected by this great pain.”
