  • Dyrus gained particular fame during his time for the US e-sports organization TSM (March 2012 to October 2015), where he won the NA LCS three times and the IEM World Championship Season IX alongside Bjergsen.
  • Anyone who has been active in the LoL scene for a long time may still remember the pillow that Dyrus took with him to some tournaments.

What exactly does Dyrus say? On January 3rd, Dyrus answered some questions on X.com that his followers asked him. A user wanted to know what the highest salary Dyrus earned during his time at TSM.

However, Dyrus then added that he had forgotten about tournament winnings. According to esportsearnings.com, that’s $158,973.97 that he earned within 49 tournaments and 5 years of being a professional.

However, according to Dyrus, that wasn’t a lot of money and Riot Games only started awarding large prize money in tournaments after his retirement.

According to esportsearnings.com, Dyrus earned the most money by winning the IEM World Championship Season IX. That was almost $21,700.

Did Dyrus provide any other interesting insights? Yes, the ex-professional explained, for example, how he came to bring a pillow with him on stage at tournaments. That wasn’t a conscious decision and he simply let the “flow” carry him along.

He also explains how he managed not to burn out from the many training sessions etc. during his professional time. He simply loved the game enough to play it for more than 12 hours a day. Still, he believes he should have retired a year earlier.

Anyone who doesn’t think about retirement is the “Unkillable Demon King” faker. The four-time world champion recently explained that his goal is not to make money, but to learn and grow even more:
