A man accused of flashing a knife during two arguments on Wednesday in Simcoe was arrested without issues shortly thereafter.

Norfolk OPP investigated a reported fight between two people at about 7:30 pm on Colborne Street North.

They were told that one person during the “heated” argument, showed a knife and then quickly left the area. The other person didn’t report any injuries.
Shortly afterwards, police were called to a similar disturbance on Talbot Street North that had escalated into a physical fight involving an “edged weapon.”
Again, no injuries were reported.
Police found and arrested a 40-year-old Norfolk County man without incident.
He was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and causing a disturbance.
The man has been held for a bail hearing.
