Sweden has ended up in a serious argument with Kristine Stavå’s Skistad.
Now Frida Karlsson breaks the silence about the rival.

Sweden has the world’s best national sprint team, but in the last year they have had serious competition in the competitions from Kristine Stavås Skistad, who in a short time has become Norway’s biggest star on the women’s side. And the competition between the Swedes and the Norwegians has also led to a war of words that doesn’t seem to want to end.

The big fight with the Norwegian

During the Tour de Ski, among other things, Norwegian national team coaches have come out and said that she is the world’s best sprinter – despite Sweden winning the last WC and Olympics – which has caused Swedish stars to roar. After Wednesday’s sprint competition in the Tour de Ski, the next fight came, when Skistad drove Emma Ribom in the semi-finals. Skistad eventually came second in the competition, and Ribom was in tears after being eliminated before the final. Sweden thought about filing a protest, when Fis judged it to be a “race incident”‚ meaning something you have to count on can happen.

Skistad responded, in turn, with a sour fit on Instagram, when she said that “the Swedes are doing it in the jury room” – which led to even more angry comments from Sweden. The quarrel never seems to end, and now even Frida Karlsson is breaking the silence about it all. Karlsson and Skistad rarely meet, as Karlsson is better at distance than sprints, and Skistad rarely competes in anything other than sprints.

But that doesn’t stop Karlsson from hitting back at the Norwegian star, whom she calls “cocky”.

Frida Karlsson believes at the same time that the whole quarrel is mostly on the Norwegian side, rather than Sweden’s.
