Sprint specialist Maja Dahlqvist is far from the top in the Tour de Ski. She now chooses not to travel to Val di Fiemme, but cancels the tour and goes home.
– I had the sprint in Davos as a finish line for the tour, and today’s chase start was a bit of an extra bonus. But the body is not quite where I want it to be, so now I am traveling home and preparing for upcoming competitions, she says in a statement.
Dahlqvist has struggled to find form during the season, and has hinted during the tour that she may leave before all stages are completed.
Since before, Ebba Andersson has chosen to break.
The remaining two stages are a distance race on Saturday and the climb up Alpe Cermis on Sunday.
