SMHI has issued an orange warning that there will be heavy snowfall in parts of north-eastern Skåne, causing difficult road conditions.
Limited access in several places
There is currently very limited access in several parts of the country and there are major delays and canceled departures in public transport.
The heavy snow storm also means that the roads do not have time to be cleared of snow at the rate of new snow.

Snow chaos on E22
One road where there is extra chaos right now is the E22. There, the weather has made it difficult for hundreds of motorists.
According to the police, over 300 cars are stuck on the E22 between Hörby and Kristianstad.
“Even police cars are affected and have been stuck for several hours. Evacuation efforts are underway,” writes the police via their website.
Railcars are on their way
Now trolleys are on their way out on the E22 to evacuate the people who have been stuck in their cars for several hours. The police also write on their website that:
“Defence are now working to organize the evacuation of the motorists. Tracked vehicles are on their way. The priority is to deal with the motorists stuck on the E22. Police are urging everyone to stay in their cars and await help. Expect the operation to take a number of hours. “.

Ambulance stuck in traffic chaos
An ambulance with an acutely ill patient who is stuck must also be in the queues. They will therefore prioritize the evacuation of the ambulance, before helping other motorists, write the police on their website.

According to Swedens radio it may take until 05.00 tomorrow morning before the entire route is open again.
Motorists in Skåne are now being asked not to go out on the roads unless they absolutely have to, and in that case load up with water, food and clothes.
