Three people have been taken to hospital after a collision between cars on road 117 north of Hässleholm. The emergency services describe the accident as serious.

– Two people in a car were trapped when we arrived, says Karl-Magnus Larsson, officer on duty at the Scania Nordost Rescue Service.

The place was very slippery. In Skåne and Blekinge, wind, snow and slippery conditions have caused many departures during the day. Traffic has been partially closed on the E6, including after accidents outside Ängelholm and between Landskrona and Helsingborg.

During the early afternoon, the situation was worst on the E22 between Ekerödsrasten and Hörby.

– There is a lot of snow and several vehicles that have gotten stuck, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson for the police’s southern region.

Since midnight, the police in the South region have received reports of 14 accidents, mainly in Skåne and Blekinge.
