Ghostbusters has become an integral part of pop culture today. In 1984, director Ivan Reitman created one with the star power of actors like Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd wonderfully entertaining mix of fantasy, sci-fi and comedy, which became a cult. You can watch the first part and the sequel Ghostbusters 2 on TV on Tuesday. The new sequel will start in cinemas in a few months.
Fantasy cult on TV: That’s what Ghostbusters is about
In the first part of the series we get to know the three scientists Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis). investigate paranormal phenomena, after they lost their jobs. In Ghostbusters 1, the ghost hunters have to deal with the deity Gozor, who wants to destroy the earth.
In Ghostbusters 2, the trio had their ghost hunting license revoked after the chaos of Part 1. However, they are soon torn from their normal, boring jobs when a new danger strikes New York.
The new Ghostbusters sequel opens in cinemas at the end of March 2024
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire opens in our cinemas on March 28, 2024. The new part follows the Ghostbusters reboot Ghostbusters: Legacy from 2021 and continues to tell the story of the young ghost hunters around Grooberson (Paul Rudd). This time will New York gripped by a mysterious breath of icewhich freezes people into statues.
